About Us

Prayer, Word, and Other People

Our goal as a church is to see everyone reach their destiny in Christ (Colossians 2:28). To that end we've developed a motto: Prayer, Word, and Other People. Missing one of these three essential elements, a Christian will not mature. We must be working them daily.

Prayer is our communication with God. It needs to be practiced daily, it needs to be intimate, and it needs to be authentic.

Next is the Word of God. If we desire to live well, live courageously, and wisely, we need to be life long learners of the Word.

Lastly is Other People. We are not designed to reach our destiny on our own, we need other Christians. One day they encourage and hold you accountable to truth. The next day the roles reverse.

In every ministry of our church family we employ the principles of Prayer, Word and Other People.

What We Believe and Why We Believe It

THE SCRIPTURES

We believe that God inspired certain individuals throughout history to write down everything we need to know about life and godliness. These words are contained in the Bible, which is the literal Word of God as if God is speaking directly to us.

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness.
(2 Tim. 3:16)

The Bible is God's instruction manual for how to live righteously every day. It teaches us, corrects us, challenges us and convicts us. And it leads us into a personal relationship with Jesus. As we study and apply the Scriptures to our lives, our minds are renewed, and we become new in Christ. (Romans 12:2)… but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! (2 Cor. 5:17)

The Scriptures are complete in themselves. They should not be altered in any way nor be considered a "matter of one's own interpretation". What has been authorized as Scripture cannot be invalidated through tradition or additional revelations that aren't already included in the Bible. Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. (2 Peter 1:20)
